He is fondly called JJ and he is a prime member of “Team Full tilt”. John Juanda, I read has over $9 Million in live earnings. Ethnically Chinese, he hails from Indonesia and stays in Los Angeles, USA. JJ joined the tournament circuit in 1996 and took five years to make his first impression. His first exploit came when he became the 2001 World Poker Open champion and took the big prize of $280 K home.

He has four WSOP bracelets to his name with wins at the 2002 WSOP $1,500 Triple Draw Lowball Ace to Five, 2003 WSOP $2,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split and $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha. His big cashing in came in the 2008 £10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event where he took home a big pot of $1,539,250. Looking at his credentials and his track record with Full tilt, I realised he his maturing into a very good No Limit player. His good poker skills have also been awarded by three poker player of the year awards.

Rising from a door to door salesman selling Bible, there’s surely a lot of transformation for this poker pro. He has made it to 6 WPT finals but never won any. While he prefers to play at the Full Tilt Poker tables now, he surely has seen a lot of WSOP glory around the mid 2000’s. His WSOP earnings are ranked 9th in an all time high list. He also has more than 49 cashes at the WSOP tables. His 2006 win at the Aussie Millions was marked by many as a remarkable one as he had defeated many top players to take the top money of AUD 1 Million. He sets the tables at Full Tilt alive as he plays skilfully each time.
